Midwife life uncovid
20 women seen, who has COVID-19?
#Midwifelife
I am a rural midwife in NZ. I’m also a mum, a wife - when there’s time, a daughter, a horse rider, a potter and a load of other stuff. All of which cross over each other at the most inopportune times usually in not ideal ways. But that’s midwife life. And under COVID-19 it’s a whole new scary ball game. Sort of like being on the batters plate with a blindfold on, trying to hold your pants up with one hand because you didn’t have time to grab a belt at midnight when the phone rang - all the while giving a running commentary that “she’ll be right, I got this!”
This page is to give a running blog, so people can see what it’s like for us midwives doing our best and juggling the 8 ball out there.

Courage is knowing something might hurt and doing it anyway. Stupidity is the same. And that’s why life is hard.
